About
Living with a life-threatening allergy isn't easy. I don't remember ever not having to worry about peanuts. Eating outside the confines of my home is a risk every. single. time.
It wasn't until I needed a stranger at the gym (exercise-induced anaphylaxis is a REAL thing - I know now!) to dig around in a messy purse for epinephrine that I realized the absolute necessity of having an identifiable Epipen bag. My Epipen was hiding in a pretty floral bag deep inside my purse. She had trouble locating it and I couldn't move or speak. It was the scariest moment of my life. My children were thankfully safe playing at a play gym next door and I was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. From that moment on, my life changed. I needed a CLEARLY MARKED bag that I brought with me everywhere. It needed to be insulated and at my fingertips AT ALL TIMES in case of an emergency. I couldn't find exactly what I wanted and since I love a good challenge, I decided to make one. That's how WUGbag began.
Thanks so much for stopping by, you are not alone - xoxo
